Palm Desert man accused of several burglaries

A Palm Desert man has been arrested on charges of burglarizing several residences in Rancho Mirage.

Deputies identified the suspect as 32-year-old Jerod Nielson. The Palm Desert Burglary and Suppression Unit arrested Nielson in the 43000 block of Portola Avenue on Tuesday at about 11:30 a.m., according to a news release.

Deputies said they found stolen property related to several Rancho Mirage burglaries at Nielson’s home.

He was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio for burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin, and committing a felony while out on bail, deputies said in the release.
