Locals head to Hollywood for ‘Live! with Kelly and Michael After Oscars Show’

After the red carpet is rolled up and the Oscar winners finally go to bed, one show is just beginning.

“Live! with Kelly and Michael’s After Oscars Show” at the Dolby Theater was full of pyrotechnics and performances.

With the help of News Channel Three, a busload full of fans got to experience it in person.

It was a long night as nearly 40 News Channel Three fun bus fans hit the road to Hollywood, all excited for the chance to be live with Kelly and Michael.

“Hopefully spot some celebrities, have a good time and just be part of the audience,” said Carlos Castaneva from Coachella.

“I love their personalities. I’ve always been a fan of Mike’s since his football days. So I’m excited to see him up in person,” said Navarro Jorge from Indio.

After a few hours’ travel, fans finally in their seats, ready for anything.

First up, a performance from Andy Grammar and the pros of “Dancing with the Stars”.

More than 3,000 fans packed the seats at the Dolby Theater, but our fans are right down in front.

Brie Larson stopped by to bask in the Best Actress glory, just before jetting off to Vietnam to continue filming her latest movie.

Kelly and Michael recapped their favorite moments from Hollywood’s biggest night.

Celebrating a long-anticipated Oscar winner.

“Leo DiCaprio. I’ve been a fan of his for so long. We love his work, we’ve never had him on our show. We were determined to get him. Win or lose we were getting Leo. We had to talk to him,” Kelly Ripa said.

The show continuing with best and worst dressed nods and a performance from Fifth Harmony.

Audience members were able to sit in the very same seats as the likes of Oscar winners such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Alicia Vikander and Brie Larson.

After the show, we asked what Oscar-nominated movie the hosts wanted to be in.

“I’d be the bear in ‘The Revenant’, just saying, going to go out on a limb,” Ripa said.

Michael wasn’t so sure about any film.

“Brie in ‘Room’, you’re stuck in a room. ‘The Martian,’ you’re like stuck in space by yourself. Everything is so isolated,” Strahan said.

But he was sure of his love for Palm Springs.

“Palm Springs is bomb,” Strahan said.

Fans were just excited to have a glimpse of Hollywood glamour.

“It looked exactly like it did at the awards. We watched those, it was amazing,” said Diane Tunis, one of the fun bus fans.
