Ceremony planned for undefeated DMHS soccer team

The Coachella Valley Unified School District is planning a celebration to honor the Desert Mirage High School boys soccer team for its perfect season this year.

The team claimed the title on Saturday and made CVUSD history by winning every single game of the season, ending with a 26-0 record.

“The boys soccer team achieved a perfect season in all aspects of the game. They showed motivation, dedication, hard work and team work. We couldn’t be prouder of our Desert Mirage boys soccer team Coach [Peter] Zamora, and the entire coaching staff for their major accomplishment,” Superintendent Dr. Darryl Adams said.

If you want to honor the team for making history this season, district officials said a ceremony will be held on Thursday, March 17 starting at 6:30 p.m. during the school board meeting at Desert Mirage High School, located at 86150 66th Avenue in Thermal.

The community is invited to join the district in congratulating the team and coaches on their CIF Regional V Championship title.
