4 teens arrested for alleged attempted burglary in DHS

Four teenage boys who allegedly tried to break into a Desert Hot Springs home over the weekend were in custody Monday, according to police.

The boys, ranging in age from 13 to 15, were seen at 12:22 p.m. Sunday in the backyard of a home in the 12300 block of Ambrosio Drive, said Sgt. Daud Chang.

Officers detained the teens nearby and determined that they had tried to pry open the sliding glass door of the home, Chang said. The boys, whose names were not released because they are juveniles, were
booked into juvenile hall on suspicion of attempted burglary, the sergeant said.
