Caregiver accused of child abuse at 29 Palms Marine Corps Base

A 61-year-old woman is facing charges of cruelty to a child after investigators said she was found to be abusing five children in her care at the Child Development Center at the Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Base.

Pamela Cadwallader of Twentynine Palms was arrested on Thursday, March 17 after deputies were called to the center, located at 1089 Agate Road.

The investigation revealed that Cadwallader inflicted abuse physical punishment on the five victims; a 3-year-old boy, two 4-year-old boys, and two 5-year-old girls, deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Investigators said they found evidence that led to Cadwallader’s arrest. She was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail for cruelty to a child.
