Shock victim released from hospital

Update: According to Loma Linda University Medical Center, one of the girls who was shocked in a swimming pool in Palm Springs on Easter Sunday has been released from the hospital.

The nine year old daughter of Jim Tramel, still remains in critical condition in the hospital.

An effort is underway to help the family of a man who died trying to save his daughter from electrocution on Easter Sunday.

The CEO of the company where Jim Tramel worked started a Go Fund Me page to help the widow and three children of the northern California tech executive who jumped into an electrified pool when he saw his 9-year old daughter and other family members were being shocked.

Tramel and his family were vacationing in Palm Springs. A total of seven people were shocked, and one of his daughters remains in critical condition.

In just the first day of contributions, more than 400 people had donated more than $90,000 to help Kim Tramel, and her children.

Tramel worked for RevJet, based in San Carlos. Mitchell Weisman, founder and CEO wrote in part:

“We are, in a word, heartbroken.

Jim’s lovely wife Kim and their children now face the future without a husband, and without a father. Even worse, at this very moment Jim’s oldest child remains in intensive care, fighting for her life. Please pray with us for her survival and recovery.

Please donate generously to this fund which will be presented to Jim’s wife Kim as a stipend, for use by Kim as she chooses for the welfare and education of her children, and/or as one or more donation(s) to some deserving non-profit(s) of her choice.

We are SO thankful for any help you can provide.”
