Girl in critical condition after ATV crash in Coachella

The young girl remains in critical but stable condition Monday morning.

A young girl is in critical condition after an off road ATV crash in Coachella.

The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning on the 86000 block of Vista Del Sur in Coachella.

Deputy Armando Munoz with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said two other girls along with a man were also involved in the accident. They all suffered non-life threatening injuries.

CAL FIRE officials say one of the patients was flown to an area hospital while the others were taken to the hospital by ground.

The crash remains under investigation.Neighbors tell us the ATV crashed into a set of mailboxes and believe they may not have been wearing seat belts.
