Sneak peek inside The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

It’s the moment many muggles have been waiting for!

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood opens Thursday!

It’s the closest any muggle will get to real magic on the West Coast.

“This is why this is cool, exploring all the nooks and crannies that we did as actors did and revel in the artistic merit,” said Tom Felton who played Draco Malfoy.

Entering Hogsmeade Village is a sensory overload, giving any Potter fan retail therapy of magical proportions.

There’s Honeydukes for those with a sweet tooth and Zonko’s Joke Shop for those Fred and George Weasley types.

And of course you can’t leave without a cold Butterbeer.

At many of the window displays in the land, there’s secret ways in which you can perform magic spells if you have a special wand.

Some of the stars of the Harry Potter films shared their favorite parts of the West Coast park.

“I’m one of those nerdy fans who will notice the lettering and the way the buildings are built. And I really love that the creators of this place really did that for fans,” said Evanna Lynch who played Luna Lovegood.

The entire concept took more than five years to create.

“When people think of a movie, I bet Harry Potter will be in the top three they’ll mention and to have that here is fantastic. And we love coming to California,” said Oliver Phelps who played George Weasley.

As you continue through the village, you pass Olivander’s Wand Shop, where the wand always chooses the wizard.

In the Owlery you can even send a letter post marked from Hogwarts.

And just at the end of the land lies the most iconic image, the magnificent Hogwarts Castle.

Winding your way through the castle, you’re greeted by the talking portraits and the Sorting Hat.

This all leads to the “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey”.

We can’t tell you what we saw, but you won’t want to miss it, starting Thursday.
