29 Palms man airlifted to hospital after punching window

Morongo Basin sheriff’s deputies found a 24-year-old man lying on his back, bleeding heavily from his right forearm early Monday morning in the 6000 block of Ocotillo Avenue.

The man, identified as Christopher Wyttenback, was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment. Deputies said a tourniquet had been applied to stop the bleeding.

Authorities said the investigation revealed that Wyttenback had punched a window during an altercation, which led to the profuse bleeding. Deputies didn’t say where the altercation occurred.

There was also no word if any charges were pending due to the property damage.
