Police search for man who robbed Coachella gas station

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and the Coachella Police Department are looking for a Hispanic man who robbed a gas station early Tuesday morning, and they’re hoping the public can help point authorities in the right direction.

Officials said the robbery happened just before 2 a.m. at the AM/PM gas station on the 48000 block of Grapefruit Boulevard, near Avenue 48. Officers said the suspect took off with money and merchandise.

Nobody was hurt during the apparent armed robbery, but authorities are still trying to determine what type of weapon the man used. There was no suspect description released Tuesday.

Anyone with information is asked to call Valley Crime Stoppers at 760-341-7867 (STOP). You can remain anonymous and you could receive a cash reward.
