16-year-old arrested for attempted burglary

A teenager was arrested on charges of attempted burglary for allegedly trying to break into a 29 Palms home on Wednesday. A witness said he saw someone kicking the front door of a home in the 5500 block of Baileya Avenue.

The suspect wasn’t able to kick-in the door and ran from the area before deputies arrived, according to the sheriff’s release.

During the investigation, Yucca Valley Juvenile Officer Deputy S. Ables and Twentynine Palms Juvenile Officer B. Abell gathered information which led them to the 16-year-old suspect, who was arrested for attempted burglary, authorities said.

Deputies said the 16-year-old suspect lives in 29 Palms.
