Air Canada service coming to Palm Springs
Canadian visitors to the Coachella Valley will be able to fly to the desert nonstop this winter, thanks to seasonal service announced by an Air Canada subsidiary.
Air Canada rouge flights from Toronto to Palm Springs International Airport will operate on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays between Dec. 14 and April 16, 2017.
“Air Canada is solidifying its position in the Canadian leisure market by offering more flights to sun destinations during the 2016-17 winter season,” said Benjamin Smith, president of passenger airlines at Air Canada.
Snowbirds can catch flights on Air Canada rouge’s 136-seat Airbus A319, which will also connect with a variety of other destinations throughout North America as part of the seasonal service.
“Canada is a large market for Palm Springs and we are excited to welcome more visitors from the eastern part of the country,” said Mary Jo Ginther, director of the Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism.
“The city of Palm Springs is experiencing a tremendous renaissance and we are thrilled Air Canada continues to recognize Canadians love our year-round sunshine and relaxed desert lifestyle,” said Mayor Robert Moon. “We thank Air Canada for their continued investment in the Palm Springs destination.”
