One killed, 4 injured after early morning crash on I-10

A 35-year-old Beaumont man was killed in an early morning crash Monday on eastbound I-10 at the Westbound 60 freeway on-ramp. The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the man as William Gemmell.

The California Highway Patrol cleared a Sig Alert shortly before 6 a.m. after closing down lanes at about 2:30 a.m. Cal Fire says four others were injured in the crash; two in serious condition. All of the injured were taken to hospitals.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
