School children find man’s pornographic photos at bus stop

A 60-year-old man from Yucca Valley was arrested on Wednesday after deputies said elementary school children found pornographic images of him at a school bus stop.

Ricky Lee Colgrove is accused of distributing obscene matter.

An officer was called to Onaga Elementary School after the children found the pornographic images of the man at a bus stop near El Dorado Drive and Balsa Avenue, according to the sheriff’s department.

Colgrove was identified as the man in the photos and detectives served a search warrant at his home on El Dorado Drive, according to jail records. Deputies said they gathered information at his home leading to his arrest.

He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail and his bail was set at $50,000. He’s due for his initial court appearance on Friday at the Morongo Superior Court.

Authorities haven’t released any other details about the investigation at this time.
