The U.S. Geological Survey reported a small earthquake near Big Bear Friday morning.

The 3.1 magnitude earthquake was centered four miles south of Big Bear City at 6:39 a.m.

There were no reports of any damage, and no calls to our newsroom from people who felt any shaking in the Coachella Valley or high desert communities.
