Crews respond to vehicle fire near El Paseo
CAL FIRE crews responded to a couple of vehicles on fire in Palm Desert Sunday afternoon.
Crews received a call about the fire at a home on Sage Lane near El Paseo just after 3 p.m.
Firefighters said the owner noticed smoke coming out underneath the hood and wheel wells of one of the cars when he arrived at the home.
Two people tried to put out the fire before crews arrived at the scene.
Firefighters said the ceiling in the garage was destroyed, and both vehicles are a total loss.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
