Man arrested after 60 mile police chase ends in Indio
A man is in jail after leading San Bernardino sheriff’s deputies and California Highway Patrol officers on a high speed chase for more than 60 miles Saturday. He was stopped in the Coachella Valley.
Deputies said 21-year-old Raymond Gonzales got away during a traffic stop in a white Lexus, reported stolen earlier Saturday in Loma Linda.
Deputies said Gonzales drove at high speeds through San Bernardino and Redlands before getting on the eastbound 10 freeway.
The chase continued through Riverside County until CHP officers used spike strips to stop Gonzales in Indio.
Gonzales was booked into the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino after being arrested for felony evading, possesion of stolen property and parole violation.
