Riverside County Sheriff’s holds first Missing Persons Day

“They kept on searching 24/7, but there’s no trace of my mom.”

Dahlia Ghaly’s mother Josephene Youssef has been missing since June 7. Ghaly says her mother had gone for a walk near her Pinyon Pines home and never returned.

Now Ghaly is hoping to find answers with the Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau at their first Missing Persons Day.

Local police agencies within Riverside County as well as national and international organizations were prepared to work with families and friends to file new reports, review older cases, and collect any new information on missing persons.

Captain Jason Huskey says there are more than 1200 missing persons cases in Riverside County alone.

Voluntary DNA testing was available through the California Department of Justice used to identify remains and living Does.
