Hundreds raise money for rescue animals at Pets on Parade luncheon

Four-legged friends of all sizes converged on the Renaissance in Indian Wells Saturday for the 18th annual Pets on Parade luncheon. It was an afternoon filled with fundraising and furry friends, all benefiting Pegasus Theraputic Riding and Loving All Animals. Dogs of all sizes and a cat socialized as their owners kept a close eye.

KESQ News Channel Three was one of the sponsors of the event. Our Bianca Rae and Haley Clawson emceed, sharing stories of their rescue pets. Organizers said the luncheon helps find homes for many loving animals.

“This is an opportunity for the desert community to honor their pets and for us to raise money for neuter and spay and animal care and also food for the animals,” said Pamela Green, one of the co-chairs of the event.

Silent and live auction items filled the room, all in an effort to find a loving home for many pets.
