Jazz concert benefits locals living with Multiple Sclerosis
Many gathered in Indian Wells Sunday for some good tunes, and for a good cause.
Act for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) held their annual Jazz It Up fundraiser at the Indian Wells Golf Resort.
Money raised at the event will help fund the non-profit’s year-round programs.
Organizers said the concert helps spotlight local musicians, while helping those who live with MS in the Coachella Valley.
“We really try to help them live stronger longer,” ACT for MS President Margot Nelligan said. “A number of them are here tonight, and it’s fun to see them enjoy themselves in an environment with a lot of our supporters. They get an opportunity to interact, and our supporters get an opportunity to spend some time with them, and see what good they’re doing.”
Some of the entertainment featured at the event included jazz pianinst and composer Bill Marx, and the Coachella Valley Boys & Girls Club’s Heatwave Jazz Band.
