Coroner identifies Banning homicide victim following 4th arrest

The Riverside County Coroner’s Office has identified the Banning homicide victim whose body was found dumped in a field on Saturday, July 9.

The coroner said the victim was 36-year-old Melissa Gale, a resident of Banning. Her time of death was listed at 8:58 a.m. that Saturday.

Authorities haven’t elaborated on her cause of death and investigators are still trying to determine the time and location of her injury.

July 11th – 4th suspect arrested in Banning homicide investigation

The final Banning homicide suspect has been arrested following the discovery of a body that was found dumped in a field over the weekend.

The Banning Police Department said Maxamillion Bernard Eagle turned himself into authorities on Monday. The other three suspects were booked into jail over the weekend. They are all being held at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning.

Banning Police got a call from California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers just before 8:30 a.m. Saturday about a possible homicide.

Police then found the body in a field east of Apex and Joshua Palmer, and found out the crime happened at a home on the 5000 block of Ramsey Street.

After conducting interviews, police booked Timothy Dunn, Megan Dunn and Whitney Absher in the County Jail after charging them with homicide.
