Earthquake near Cabazon downgraded to 3.3 magnitude

The United States Geological Survey has downgraded the initial 3.5 magnitude earthquake that struck near Cabzon on Monday afternoon to a 3.3.

The quake hit about 6.2 miles northeast of Cabazon at 2:02 p .m. according to the USGS. No damage was reporting from the earthquake.

The earthquake was felt by some employees at KESQ and CBS Local 2’s station in Thousand Palms.
