Former Beaumont officials pleading not guilty to using tax payer money for personal gain

Seven former Beaumont officials accused of using tax payer money for personal gain are all pleading not guilty. The seven former top city employees were arrested in connection with a series of alleged schemes where the group profited from 43 million dollars worth of tax payer money.

One of the officials accused is former Beaumont city manager and Palm Desert resident Alan Kapa – Nikas. The others include, the former finance director, former city attorney, former police chief, former city manager and the former planning director .

All are free on bail and will be back in court in November.
