Indio police investigate after 30-year-old woman shot to death

The Indio Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a 30-year-old woman who was found with multiple gunshot wounds Sunday night.

The shooting was reported at 9:17 p.m. at a home in the 82300 block of Santa Rosa Avenue. When officers arrived to the house, they found the victim had been shot multiple times. Officers performed CPR until paramedics with Cal Fire arrived, according to police.

The victim hasn’t been identified by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office yet. KESQ and CBS Local 2 will update our information as soon as we hear back from officials.

No suspects have been identified at this time, and detectives from IPD’s Major Crimes Unit have been following up on several investigative leads.
