Yucca Valley man arrested for attempted murder

A man is in jail Sunday morning after being arrested for attempted murder.

San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies arrested Stephen Algeo, after responding around 1:30 Friday afternoon to reports of a stabbing in the 7100 block of Airway Avenue in Yucca Valley.

When they arrived on the scene, deputies found a man with serious injuries to his face. First responders took the victim to Desert Regional Medical Center.

Deputies then found Algeo nearby and booked him at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
