Guitars signed by “Desert Trip” artists to be auctioned

As buzz and excitement builds in anticipation of the upcoming Desert Trip weekends, fans have an opportunity to purchase 6 guitars autographed by the rock and roll legends performing at this historic concert event, while supporting Desert Cancer Foundation.

The guitars were purchased and donated for auction by Ken Hanna, owner of Indian Springs Golf Club and the new Big Rock Pub, opening soon on property at Indian Springs in Indio.

The guitar auction will be held on eBay beginning October 1, 2016 – ending October 10, 2016. Certificates of Authenticity for the signatures come with each guitar. The value of the guitars is in excess of $5,000 each.

“We’re beyond thrilled to have been selected as the beneficiary of this incredible auction opportunity,” said Paula Simmonds, Executive Director of Desert Cancer Foundation.

“It’s a great way for six fortunate Desert Trip attendees or true rock and roll fans to commemorate their experience while supporting cancer patients here in the desert at the same time.”

Hanna’s purchase of the guitars – which have been signed by the bands as a collectible – is in line with his mission for Indian Springs and Big Rock Pub to be the ‘Club & Pub with a Cause.’

“I like many others have recently lost loved ones to cancer. Desert Cancer Foundation is one of the most vital nonprofits serving the Coachella Valley,” explained Hanna.

“That’s why I’ve chosen it to be my charity of choice. Dollars stay local to help our local friends and neighbors who are facing cancer as they fight this devastating disease that’s affected so many lives.”
