ORIGINAL STORY: 9/15 7:53 p.m.

Indio Police are assisting in the search for a pair of teenagers who haven’t been seen since Wednesday evening.

Robert O’Brian, 14, and Alexys Lucas, 16, told their parents they were staying late for tutoring at Shadow Hills High School on Wednesday.

When their parents went to the school on Jefferson to pick them up at 6:00 p.m., they were nowhere to be found.

Indio Police responded immediately and are conducting an investigation, although they said there are currently no signs of foul play.

However, Alexys’s family says they are incredibly worried about the sophomore’s physical and mental well-being.

“She has a medical condition that requires immediate attention,” says Betty Ogimachi, Alexys’ aunt. “We miss her, we love her. We’re just very worried. She’s never done this before.”

Ogimachi says the teens are romantically involved.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1.

Robert is described as a white male, 5’11” and 170 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and grey shorts. Robert has a short “buzz cut” haircut.

Alexys is a white female, 5’04” and 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue jean shorts and a blue plaid button down shirt. Alexys has collar length brown hair and is known to friends and family as “Lexy.”
