Police offer reward after vandals burglarize Desert Hot Springs Community Center

A $1,000 reward was announced Tuesday for information that leads to whoever burglarized and vandalized the Carl May Community Center in Desert Hot Springs a couple of weeks ago.

Officers were alerted at 10:11 p.m. on September 5th to reports of a shattered front door at the community center, located behind Desert Hot Springs City Hall at 11711 West Drive, said Sgt. Gus Paiz.

Various items were stolen from the building, and the suspect or suspects committed “thousands of dollars in vandalism,” Paiz said.

Anyone with information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the responsible parties was urged to contact Paiz at (760) 329-6411, ext. 325.
