Yucca Valley teen behind bars after police pursuit

A Yucca Valley teen is in San Bernardino Juvenile Hall Sunday morning after allegedly leading police on a pursuit. The 14-year-old was arrested Saturday around 4 p.m. after police say he fled from them on an off-road motorcycle.

A San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to pull over the off-road motorcycle after seeing it riding on surface streets. The driver fled police for almost three miles while reaching speeds of 85 mph in residential neighborhoods. Police say the teen failed to to stop at six stop signs.

Police took the driver into custody when his motorcycle became disabled. The teenager was on probation.
