Guitar worth more than $1K stolen from religious nonprofit in Joshua Tree

Deputies with the Morongo Station are searching for a suspect accused of grand theft for stealing a guitar worth more than $1,000 from a religious nonprofit organization in Joshua Tree Thursday night.

Authorities said the organization, called The Way Station, had a guitar used for bible study and music ministry stolen from its building in the 61000 block of Commercial Street at about 8 p.m. They don’t have a description of the suspect at this time.

According to the release, The Way Station is committed to serving the community by providing food, clothing and bible study to anyone in need.
