Sanchez and Fitzpatrick ahead in La Quinta Council election
New results in the La Quinta City Council election show that Steve Sanchez and Kathleen Fitzpatrick appear to be the winners, beating out incumbent Kristy Franklin. Here are the latest results posted just before 6:00 p.m. Friday: STEVE SANCHEZ 5,363 23.50% VICTORIA LLORT 4,251 18.63% KRISTY FRANKLIN 4,873 21.35% KATHLEEN FITZPATRICK 5,267 23.08% JOE JOHNSON 3,068 13.44% These latest results aren’t final. There are still 67,000 provisional and damaged ballots to be counted in Riverside County. It’s not clear how many of those are from La Quinta. The Riverside County Registrar plans to post updated results next Wednesday.
