Man in jail after hit-and-run in Twentynine Palms
One person is in jail after a hit-and-run in Twentynine Palms. A truck pulling a trailer crashed into another vehicle near the intersection of Twentynine Palms Highway and Indian Cove Road just before 5 p.m. Friday.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies said the truck then drove from the scene. The truck and trailer were found later that night parked behind a Walmart in Yucca Valley. The suspected driver during the hit-and-run, 45-year-old Shawn Bauer, was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and driving under the influence.
Bauer was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail. The other driver in the incident was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
