Winners of snow guessing contest announced

The annual Snow Guessing Contest hosted by the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway has come to an end, as the first measurable snow of the year has fallen in Palm Springs. The first ten contestants who submitted the correct date have been announced.

One and a half inches of measurable snow was recorded at the Tramway’s Mountain Station overnight on Sunday.

The 10 winners will receive four Tram admission passes plus a special gift, officials said in the release.

The annual Snow Guessing Contest began October 1 and 863 entries were received; more than double from last year.
