Man acccused in 5 Home Depot burglaries from Anaheim to Indio

A Banning man is accused of burglarizing five Home Depot locations from Anaheim to Indio and selling the stolen power tools he took from the stores. Officers said they caught up with the suspect, 36-year-old David Anthony Jackson, after he allegedly targeted the Home Depot in Palm Springs in early November.

Officers with the Palm Springs Police Department were called to the 5200 block of Ramon Road on November 3 after the suspect allegedly filled a large plastic tote with sets of power tools and ran out the rear emergency exit. Witnesses said the suspect jumped into a silver Dodge Charger that was waiting for him and he fled the scene.

During the investigation, authorities identified Jackson as the suspect and discovered he was accused in four additional commercial burglaries of Home Depot locations throughout Southern California.

The Desert Regional SWAT Team served a search warrant at Jackson’s home in Banning on Monday, November 21. Jackson was arrested and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on charges of burglary and grand theft.

While the suspect is in custody, police are still searching for the stolen property he took from the Home Depot.
