Hundreds gather to support United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire

The Omni Rancho Las Palmas in Rancho Mirage was the scene for the 21st annual Dennis James Gala to support United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire (UCP). Hundreds of valley children and adults are able to enjoy a better life thanks to the work of UCP. The organization runs six after school programs in the valley, helping young people learn work and school skills, socialization and also just have a good time with people their age. A golf tournament will also be held Monday at Mission Hills Country Club. Desert Lexus has been one of the principle sponsors of the gala and golf tournament for years. More than 200 people attended the event Sunday night. CBS Local 2 anchor Kris Long is on the board of directors of UCP, and served as the Master of Ceremonies for the event.
