Woman charged with evading arrest & vehicle theft in Palm Springs

A 25-year-old woman who allegedly led Palm Springs police on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle was charged Thursday with evading arrest, vehicle theft and receiving stolen property.

Terrin Renee Cho was arrested Tuesday near Chapparal Road and East Vista Chino, according to jail records. Cho — along with a second unidentified woman who remains at large — is accused of stealing a 2016 Kia Optima and fleeing from officers in a short vehicle pursuit that ended when the two suspects abandoned the stolen car near the 400 block of Cottonwood Road.

Cho and the other woman allegedly fled on foot in different directions, with Cho eventually arrested around 3 p.m., according to police. Officers searched the immediate area but did not locate the second woman, whose description was unavailable.

Cho was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning on multiple felony charges. She was also charged with a misdemeanor for violating her probation.

Cho pleaded not guilty to all charges during an in-custody video arraignment Thursday afternoon. She will make her next court appearance Dec. 19 at a felony settlement conference at the Larson Justice Center in Indio.
