Indio man faces grand theft & fraud charges

A 45-year-old Indio man has been arrested on multiple felony charges connected to a case of grand theft that occurred at a Palm Desert business in November.

Mariano Flores is facing felony charges of grand theft, credit card fraud, identity theft, and conspiracy, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The grand theft occurred November 19 in the 42100 block of Cook Street.

The Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team took over the investigation and identified Flores as a possible suspect in the grand theft. Authorities located Flores on Tuesday, December 13 after serving a residential search warrant in the 43000 block of Sonola Street in Indio, deputies said in a news release.

Flores was arrested and booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio on $10,000 bail, according to jail records. He’s due in court at the Larson Justice Center on February 7.
