Touching moment caught on camera

It was a touching moment, caught on camera between the daughters of slain Palm Springs police officers Jose Gilbert “Gill” Vega and Lesley Zerebny.

Seven-year-old Vanessa Vega and infant Cora Zerebny had a chance to meet with Santa Claus during the Palm Springs Police Officers’ Association Kids Christmas Party Saturday night.

The PSPD shared three pictures of the girls on its Facebook page with the following caption,

“Both Vanessa Vega and Baby Cora Zerebny are pictured here from last night’s Palm Springs Police Officers’ Association Kids Christmas Party. Vanessa’s dad #OfficerGilVega and Cora’s mom #OfficerLesleyZerebny, our #fallenheroes, may never get to spend another day with these beautiful children, but the girls will always be our family. We will always look over them and make sure they get to know how special their parents were to each and everyone of us and law enforcement.”

This is Cora’s first Christmas.
