Colony Palms Hotel debuts newly renovated spa
The Colony Palms Hotel is debuting its newly renovated spa. From the funky wallpaper to the bubbling water fountain, this spa embodies both the spirit of Palm Springs and the tranquility of the desert, the hotel management says.
“It’s all about the guest and guest treatment, and it’s about total relaxation. It’s a quite serine environment and that’s what we’re going with the renovation,” general manager, Nicole Winslow says.
The spa’s recent renovation utilizes the abundant Southern California sun to give the spa its natural lighting. They’ve also added more treatment rooms and a couples massage room.
Massage therapist Jackie Herndon said her favorite massage is the Desert Rain Drench.
“It’s a 90-minute treatment. The body gets massaged with oil, it gets moisturized and wrapped, and we do a mini facial where the skin is cleansed and moisturized and under the eyes are treated. I defy any woman not to get relaxed,” Herndon said.
The renovation eliminating distractions with minimalist decor.
“There’s a cleanness to the rooms. So it’s great for the client because when they walk in there’s nothing to be distracted with. There’s music, there’s warmth, everything else is white, and it makes for a sacred space where someone can unwind and relax,” Herndon said.
