Police were working to clean up a collision involving a truck hauling hay and an SUV that shut down the northbound lanes of Highway 86 early Friday morning.

The Riverside County Sheriffs Department says the driver of the Hummer drifted out of his lane and collided with the GMC.

The collision caused the GMC to overturn, blocking both northbound lanes.

Bales of hay were spilled over the roadway prompting the northbound traffic lanes closure.

Roberto Gonzalez, 35 of Bakersfield was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and taken into custody.

Armando Munoz of the Riverside County Sheriffs Department said two people were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.
