Caught on camera: Culprits steal Christmas decorations
With Christmas Eve just hours away, here’s two people who are definitely going on Santa’s naughty list.
A pair of thieves in Cathedral City were seen stealing several Christmas decorations from a front yard.
Home security video from a house on Willow Street caught the caper a on Dec. 14 about 12:30 in the morning.
A young woman and a young man are shown in the video pulling up in front of the house before stealing multiple projectors from the front of two homes.
In total, the two thieves stole five projectors used to light up the front of a home with Christmas displays.
The monetary value of the projectors wasn’t that much, so the homeowner, Michael Goldman, said he’s probably not going to file a police report.
“You can keep my decorations, but I would like to have a little talk with you and find out what is driving them to do that. Is it stupidity, a dare for kids, or just are they the Grinch? It’s just terrible,” said Goldman.
Goldman posted some stills photos from the security footage on Facebook and some people in the neighborhood are commenting that they know who the thieves are.
