Indio Police arrest carjacking suspect

A carjacking suspect was arrested by Indio Police Thursday morning.

At 10:50 a.m., Indio PD responded to a report that a wanted suspect from San Diego was in the area of Jackson and Dillon Road near the DMV. Ealier, SDPD put out a bulletin stating that a carjacking suspect may be in the Indio area.

Sgt. Dan Marshall of the Indio PD told KESQ News Channel 3 / CBS Local 2 that detectives spotted a stolen car in the area, and tried to pull over the vehicle, the suspect did yield to police and was taken into custody without incident.

San Diego Police are on their way to pick up the suspect.
