The Coachella Valley welcomes first baby of 2017

Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs announced the first baby of the New Year born in the Coachella Valley.

AnnMarie Rose Valdez of La Quinta was born at 6:20 a.m. on New Year’s day. Baby Valdez weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces, and measured 20 inches long. Parents, Sellene Chavira and Ernesto Valdez, and their new baby are said to be doing well.
