Palm Springs man arrested with 37lbs of meth

A probation compliance check at a residence in Palm Springs lead to the discovery of approximately 37 pounds of meth.

28-year old Palm Springs resident, Arnulfo Chavez was arrested for being in possession of narcotics.

Officers assigned to the San Gorgonio Special Operations Gang Task Force, with the assistance of the Beaumont Police Department MET Team, Beaumont Police Department K9, and the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force, conducted a probation compliance check in 1500 block of E San Rafael Dr., Palm Springs. During the investigation, approximately 37 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, over 6 ounces of suspected cocaine, and $25,000 in cash were located.

Chavez was transported and booked into the Smith correctional Facility for possession and sales of a controlled substance and for committing a crime while out on bail.
