Weather diverts Obama family from landing in Palm Springs

The Obama family has been diverted from Palm Springs International Airport due to inclement weather preventing their airplane from landing. The family landed at March Air Reserve Base at 5:45 p.m. March Air Reserve Base is located between Riverside and Moreno Valley.

The family departed Andrews Air Force Base at 10:45 a.m. but their plane was forced to circle the Palm Springs airport at least a few times at about 4:15 p.m.

Officials with the Secret Service confirmed authorities delayed the landing due to poor weather.
