Caltrans is warning motorists of ongoing road closures due to the weekend storm. Some of the closures may be long term.

SR 18 “The Narrows” is closed from SR 138 to Crest Forest Drive (The Cliffhanger) for an
unknown period of time. The rock netting is damaged with rock fall in this section of the
route. SR 138 is closed from I-15 east to Summit Valley Road for flooding and debris flow. Closure
duration is unknown. SR 18 (LITTLE Arctic Circle) is closed from Big Bear Dam to Payne in Big Bear for ice and
snow removal. Cars have been disabled in this portion of the route overnight and this
morning. Closure duration is unknown. SR 2 is closed from Big Pine to SR 39. Closure duration is unknown. SR 142 is closed from Santa Fe to the San Bernardino County Line in Orange County.
Closure duration is unknown.

Chain requirements are in order if you’re driving in the San Bernardino mountains, Wrightwood and Idyllwild.

Don’t drive through flooded roadways as flooding is imminent in Riverside County and San Bernardino County, officials said.
