Police close road after crash in Cathedral City
Cathedral City Police officers have closed Varner Road after a traffic crash involving a snapped power pole.
Southern California Edison emergency crews were on scene, and the city’s Public Works Department will setup the road closure.
Officers said traffic flow between Thousand Palms, Cathedral City and Desert Hot Springs will be impacted.
They said the road will be closed through 9:00 a.m. Sunday.
