Coroner identifies Banning shooting victim

The Banning Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that happened at about 3 a.m. Thursday. The coroner’s office identified the victim as 20-year-old Cabazon resident Henry Waters.

Shots were reported in the area of East Hoffer Street and Hargave Street, and that’s where officers found Waters’ body lying in the street. Authorities said he was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.

Police are still searching for the suspect(s). No suspects have been identified yet.
