Strange theft caught on camera
A man was caught on camera stealing a stepladder from a Cathedral City car wash, leaving employees perplexed as to why someone would go through the trouble.
When workers at the Green Clean Express car wash in Cathedral City came back to work and couldn’t find the step ladder, they decided to check the surveillance camera.
On the surveillance camera, you can see the man stop his car, walk into the business, directly towards the step ladder, look around, and grab the step ladder while putting a cigarette into his mouth, before taking off.
“I can’t believe somebody would do that,” Felipe Martinez, manager of the car wash, said laughing.
“To be on TV now that he did this…was it worth it for a stool? I mean really? Was that stool worth, what did it cost? 40 dollars? All you had to go was buy one. ask me, I would’ve given you my old one,” said Martinez.
Apparently, this isn’t the first time something small has been stolen from the business.
“Our barrel cactuses got stolen too but again I took a picture of the gentleman… found out who it was and he brought it back. At least that guy took responsibility for his action, and this guy needs to do the same thing.”
