Tips to keep in mind to hike safely after wet weather

CBS Local 2 Stands for You and your safety. Roads weren’t the only routes closed due to rain in the Coachella Valley; some hiking trails were impacted too.

Lauren Coronado was out on some of those wet trails on Wednesday, and learned some safety tips for those going out for a hike after wet weather hits. Many people she spoke to said they haven’t seen this much rain in the valley since the 1980s.

But on a brighter note, more rain does mean more flowers, just in time for the 10th annual Wildflower Festival.
